About Enthrop
Enthrop is strictly nonprofit. We are a collective committed to open-source environmental action and global peace.
A Note From the Founder
I’ve noticed a lot of you have been curious about who is behind this. So, I’d like to share a little about myself.
I’m a man nearly 40 years old, originally from Europe. In my 20s, I was fortunate to build a modest fortune as the CEO of an investment company. From there, my journey led me to invest in startups, not just with capital, but with a genuine desire to help them grow. Over the years, I’ve been involved in building several other businesses across different markets. Call centers, car rentals, property development, and more.
Eventually, I was living what many would call a "dream life." And in that position, I felt a deep calling to give back. I started donating to causes close to my heart. But I quickly became troubled by a problem I saw in so many non-profits: the money doesn’t always end up where it’s needed most. All too often, these organizations are led by well-known figures, and the work becomes more about them than the cause. I knew there had to be a different way.
That’s why I started this. Everything here is, and will always be, free. Subscribers and free users are equals. You see the same page, you have the same rights. The subscription is completely optional, set at a symbolic $1, and it exists for one reason only: to give this community a voice and a chance to support the mission if you believe in it.
Why remain anonymous?
It’s not that I have a problem revealing who I am. The simple truth is that I wanted to start this project on its own merits, cleanly. I have a history with other companies, names and legacies that I prefer to keep separate. I didn’t want the size or nature of my past ventures to cast a shadow over what I hope this movement will become. This project needs to stand on its own two feet, to be self-sufficient.
And, to be honest, there is another reason. By keeping things this way from the start, no one can ever try to uncover my identity later to corrupt this mission or harm this movement. They can try, but they will find nothing, because there is nothing to find.
This movement will always be led by a single guiding hand. There will be no co-founders, no board of directors looking to take a fee from every donation. That will never happen. Every single donation, 100% of it, will go directly toward helping others. In the future, as we grow, a portion may go toward the essential costs of running Enthrop - supporting our team, our office, and our mandatory expenses - but that will always be handled with the same transparency and care.
For now, I am grateful I can finance this journey myself. But my pockets, as grateful as I am for them, are not endless. That is why your voice and your support mean the world. It’s not about a payment, it’s about building a community with a shared purpose.
